Clean comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and great food. Only downside unfortunately is that breakfast doesn't start until 10am but a breakfast box is available. Do yourselves a favour and maybe have self-service cereals and fruit available. Other than that great wee hotel.
Just had the best Haggis, neeps and tatties EVER. I have lived in Scotland 18 years and this is the best I've eaten. Well presented with a panko style crust, a layer of neeps, topped with a generous swirl of mashed potato. Peppercorn sauce adds a bit of bite. James is an excellent host. Chef and staff are to be commended. Dog friendly inside too. Well worth a visit.
We went for Sunday lunch and the food was absolutely amazing. We had a roast, and a steak pie, and both meals were delicious. The service was also fantastic. It was our first time going for food, but definitely won't be the last, and after we showed our neighbours pictures of the food, they've also booked to go. A little hidden gem of a place that we're very happy to have discovered.
I went with my husband and daughter for lunch. Food was excellent and really good portions. Service was good and good value for money.
Adam, our waiter was lovely! My soup was cold and became even colder waiting on hubby's meal to arrive. They heated up the Garlic strong potato soup! Not so palatable... my hand cut chips eventually arrived, by this time everyone is finished. The rest of the party had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. (Fish and chips and the burger)
Excellant food ,fun and attentive service. Highly recommend. Some really nice different dishes on menu. Fair had our palettes tingling. Yum yum yum .
Had a lovely meal with family today and I must say the food was excellent and large portions. A very big thank you to the tall gentleman who served us he went out of his way to get my wheelchair closer to the table to make it easier for me(Sorry I did not get your name ) but was indeed very kind of you and very much appreciated, and he was so nice and cheery. As I said food 1st class and lots of it. Thank you so much.
Popped into this hidden gem for lunch. A superb lunch deal. Had Sweet Potato Soup and Chicken Parfait for starter. And we both had Scampi and chips. All homemade all sensational. Brilliant Service in stunning location. An amazing local business such a change from the mass produced Chains with no soul. We shall return and recommend you try.
